Catalogue - French Natural Accessions (local scale)
The 305 individuals of the local TOU-A population (Frachon et al. 2017) were collected along a 330-meter transect under an electric fence separating two permanent meadows in the village of Toulon-sur-Arroux (Burgundy, N 46°38’57.302’’, E 4°7’16.892’’). Seeds from individual plants were collected in 2002 (80 TOU-A1 plants), 2007 (110 TOU-A5 plants), and 2010 (115 TOU-A6 plants) along this transect. The TOU-A population has been demonstrated to be highly polymorphic at both the genomic and phenotypic levels (Frachon et al. 2017). The phenotypic and genomic data are available in an open access repository.
Three successive SSD (Single Seed Descent) generations were carried out for each individual, followed by a bulk multiplication that provided the seeds available for distribution.
